phpAnti-Leech is now a Sourceforge project!

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

I figured since I’ve changed the license of this to the GPL, I opened a project over on Sourceforge for it! I’m pretty happy since I have a couple of SF projects, but this is my favorite!

New Script - Bizzar Host Blocker

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Bizzar Host Blocker is not exactly a breakthrough in ad/spyware blocking. This is a technique I learned through reading different sites. Basically, this script will add entries to your local hosts file that will prevent IE and/or Firefox from loading websites that contain garbage. This not only speeds up your browsing time, but also prevents you from accidently loading malware intended content. It is not a perfect system and you should definitely consider getting some real protection, but it’s a start and it’s free so it’s worth a shot.

More scripts updated!

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

I’ve been using my holiday weekend to get more of these scripts online and updated. Basically, the scripts listed on the right side are finished and ready to go. I also have a handful of other scripts coming like the mailing list script, the php/png countdown script (revised and updated). The sudoku script I was selling a while ago is also posted since I’m not selling scripts anymore.

phpAnti-Leech online and updated to version 5.1!

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

While adding my own phpAnti-Leech script back into this site, I found a small issue with the download token system where it wasn’t saving any data with regard to the file name. This would be helpful to know who downloaded what and so I could create a logging system for files downloaded. So I fixed that. Then I added an additional variable that will let me save the download data without necessarily turning on the max download system. So, with those 2 small changes, I present Bizzar phpAnti-Leech version 5.1! This is the first script to be presented on the site again under the GPL license. This is without a doubt my favorite script so far. Enjoy!

Also, I’m going to use the format of having a page for each script. This will make it easier to manage, update, and stay organized. The other scripts will be popping online soon. I just had to get my download system in place before continuing.
